At the top towards the middle it will say "cpu" when you play your track does the number next to "cpu" skyrocket from say 10 to 80? If so the program is overloading your cpu and there are other programs in the background clogging up your cpu preventing FL Studio's from running smoothly. Turning it up will be safer quality-wise but will increase latency as well which isn't good for playing synths and stuff.Ĭould you maybe upload a audio recording of what's happening, or even better a screencast of specifically what happens? This is a fairly annoying issue and I've absolutely no clue what to do, it's really pissing me off. That's the only way the crackling stops UNTIL I load up another plugin including effects, even stock plugins or drag out a sample, then it starts again and I have to go through the whole process. I noticed it the other day when I loaded up an instance of Reaktor and any sort of sound played, even triggered samples would begin to crackle. I usually get like 1 overrun max on the laptop when i have a complete song with all of the effects and vsts running. So just asking if anyone knows if this is a soundcard problem or just something I'm doing wrong? Should be fun!

This made the under-runs go from to around 20 but it is still stuttering like mad. I've tried lowering the buffer length to the highest and something and switching to the asio4all sound driver. However when i put it on my pc which has a 3. Hey everyone, I decided to put fl studio onto my desktop instead of using it on my laptop because it over heats a lot now.
