“I’ll see you tomorrow ya scamp” you said playfully lightly punching his shoulder. Eventually you were back and Draco had to return to the Slytherin House. The walk back to the Ravenclaw common room was quiet with a few hushed whispers and acknowledgment from passing ghosts. You both rose to your feet and began packing your various, papers, quills and bags up off the ground. “You should get inside, it’s getting dark.” He whispered his eyes meeting yours again, you looked up at the sky which was beginning to be speckled with stars and agreed with him. “You going home with me, wouldn’t that make this jerk mad?”, Startled by the sudden inflection in his voice you grabbed his hand, almost as second nature to calm him down, “no Draco” you said in the most comforting voice you could find, “I think it would be just fine.” He looked down at your hand holding his and took a deep breath nodding but more to himself than to you. “Don’t you think that would make him mad?” Draco eventually asked subtle annoyance hanging on every word, “what?” Replied as you looked up into his light eyes. But you did know better than to ask him what was wrong, eventually he would tell you. A few minutes passed of comfortable silence as you write your paper and he sat, getting more frustrated by the minute although you didn’t know why.

“I wasn’t planning on it” he said, you returned the nod he gave earlier and looked back down at your paper. “Are you going home anytime soon?” You asked him desperately hoping the answer was yes, you wanted nothing more than to go back to the Malfoy Manor where so many memories had been made and stay in you family’s guest room. You only wished you could return to thinking about potions. Draco simply nodded and seemed to fall into thought. You raised your eyebrows as if to say ‘and?’ As he continued, “Is it Samuel, because I swear if you like that, player, stuck-up, mommy’s bo-“ “Its not Samuel!” You said quickly cutting him off. “So I’ve been thinking about this mystery man” he said in a tone you didn’t quite recognize, it was almost angry. He didn’t say a word so you sighed and looked up at him “yes?” You asked wondering what was so important he needed to interrupt your thought process. That evening you were in the courtyard finishing up a potions paper when none other than Draco took a seat on the ground across from you. B/F/N giggled and gave you a slight shove before you took your seats. You rolled your eyes and walked through the doorway as Draco called out “Don’t think I won’t keep an eye out for this mystery man!”. “Don’t let Snape push you around too much” Draco said playfully knowing Snape wouldn’t dare say anything out of line to you because of how close you are to the Malfoy’s.

As you arrived at your next class you prepared to say goodbye and continue on with your day praying Draco would forget about the previous conversation.

The three of you continued walking down the corridor, his arm still wrapped around your shoulder. “Hmmm.” Draco pondered, “I’m in your charms class, I’ll have to keep a look out next time”. “He’s always around her” your friend said winking as you gave her a stare even she flinched at. “just a boy in my charms class” you quickly said hoping Draco wouldn’t realize you were in fact talking about him. “who we talkin’ about ladies” you heard the all too familiar voice say from behind you as an arm wrapped around your shoulder.

“Do not be ridiculous” you retorted, “we’ve been friends since practically before we could wave a wand”. “He’s totally into you Y/N” Your best friend, B/F/N, said as you rounded the corner of the corridor from the dining hall. Hey guys! I know this isn’t my best but honestly I just needed to write and get something out there so I hope you enjoy and that this helps your quarantine!!
